Photo by Nick Oza/ The Arizona Republic The friends and family members of Chinese tourists who died in a bus wreck near Hoover Dam on US 93 gathered for memorial services on Thursday Feb. 5 2008. The accident happened Friday Jan. 30, 2009. Department of Public Safety officials said the bus was carrying a group of tourists from mainland China to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. Three people died when the dust storm blew through the area, reducing visibility to just a few feet, sparking multiple collisions and forcing the closure of the Interstate.
